Big Al gets his ashes

Happy (belated) Ash Wednesday! I got my ashes from church today. Woohoo!

(It's there amongst the oil & grease.)

Now it comes time to decide on what I will give up. I really don't remember the last time I made myself give something up since you end up going back to doing it on the Monday after Easter. However, this year I have decided I for this Lenten season I will give up the following:
1. Medicines that are recognized by the US Federal Government as Schedule I-V controlled substances (except for Schedule III substances known as anabolic steroids).
2. Hardcore p0rn of the animal-to-human kind. Since Teddy B has been the biggest advocate of this, I will take a hard "No to Ted!" stance.

There are a bunch of others that I would rather not put in writing given that it may hurt my eligibility to run for President of the United States in 2016. However, I will be happy to share them with you in person.

Big Al does CrossFit

Over the last year I've started this new workout program called CrossFit. It was inspired and designed by Marines as a core strength and conditioning program. I've been working out at X-Body Fitness in San Jose. Yesterday I was featured in their blog posting. Check it out!

(Gotta' get huge!)

Big Al Paints and Eats Burritos

Okay... I got lazy again. I'll do shorter, but more frequent blogs for the time being. With that said. This weekend, I painted an accent wall and ate a few burritos from Taqueria Lorena's in San Jose. Have a good week!

(Adding a little Kilz before it all goes down.)

(Taqueria Lorena's - San Jose's hidden gem. Open late on Fri & Sat for the club crowd.)

(Mi amigos. They make me my super carne asada burrito con juevos, sin arroz y sin frijoles.)
