Big Al's Party is 48 hours away

So I really don't have much to say today. Weird eh? I did have a lot of fun last week. Stef, Amber, Ito, Loren and Les showed up to THE BigAlsHouse last Saturday for a little UFC action feature BJ Penn (overrated!). Sunday, Big Al and Loren checked out the A's vs. the Red Sox. Monday I just kicked back, played some softball at the park across the street with some former California State Penitentiary inmates. I survived.

(Not bad for free seats via Loren's friend. There were way to many Sox fans at the A's home game.)

We're about 48 hours from Big Al's 29 1/2 Burphday. Lots of food is prepped, drinks are chilling and the stripper poles are greased down.  Before then, it's off to Irmo's nude sculpture exhibit on Friday in Davis. We're drinking in the parking lot at 5pm. See you there!

Big Al goes home

In Big Al's attempt to recruit for The Big Al's 29 1/2 Burphday Party next week, he had to go where he was most comfortable. Big Al went home - Santa Clara University. He met up with some of the newest members of the Big Al Entourage - Lili & Martin.

(I know what you're thinking. Yes, I ate some of my food in the service area so that I don't have to pay for it.)

We had dinner at the Benson Center, toured the new library, had some fro-yo at the yogurt shop and then capped it off with shots and beer at the Hut. Good times!

(Welcome to the Matrix!)

(Lily, Martin & Big Al at The Hut.)

Have a safe and restful Memorial Day weekend! Thanks for not inviting me to your BBQ! I know who you are.

Big Al's Weekend Slosh

In addition to The Family party, Big Al was up to other shenanigans throughout the Bay Area. I hooked up with the Neethanator, Loren, VJ, E-Money and Tad-Dawg up in SF for the Gyro's baseball game. It was bobblehead night and the Gyros were giving away Masanori Murakami bobbers. I got one beeyaaatch!!! Thank goodness they're limited to first 5 million people through the gate. The Gyros lost again. It makes me 1-1 for the season.

(Big Al's Entourage gets bigger: Big Al, Daniel, Britney & The Neethanator.)

(Mythbusters:  "Okay Jenn, let's put this theory to the test.  Hold the cigarette right THERE!")

(On the next episode of The Couger Hunter...)

Saturday's madness began with sloshball (aka kickball for those reminiscing back to grade school). For those that aren't familiar, think kickball but you have to have a cup of beer in your hand at all times. Had we adhered to real sloshball rules, then we'd probably score a lot less. I believe the final score was 6-5 in this 6 inning contest. I pitched the final 3 innings in relief. Giving up 2 runs in the final frame. I went 1 for 3 at the plate with 1 run scored. I sadly was not much of an offensive threat.

(Big Al and Phat talking over sloshball strategy.)

(Big Al - 2 time SCS kickball recess champion.)

Big Al's 'The Family' Burphday Madness

When I woke up last Saturday I would never have guessed that would have found myself in Vallejo drinking with The Family. The word was that there were going to be 200-300 (it was more like 50+) people at my cousin Kathy's 21st burphday. Although there weren't close to that many, it was nice to get back into the college-aged crowd and party it up with them. Additionally, it brought me back to my roots - a V-Towne house party.

(Big Pimpin Cuz Radley is surrounded by cute girls in the BEFORE picture.)

(Not much to say about Big Pimpin Cuz Radley in the AFTER picture. Photo was taken 15 minutes after the one above.)

(Big Al, Cuz Petron, Cuz Aldrich & Cuz Kathy.)

You know how everybody has this list of Things to do before they die? Most people have bungee jumping, skydiving, visiting Antarctica, sleep with a porno star, etc. What they really need to have on their list is a V-Towne house party. There's nothing like it. Most of the time, they're pretty cool. You show up, get inside the garage, bring your booze, eat the food and dance to the DJ. It's simple and to the point. Occassionally, you'll come across an anomaly such as mace being sprayed, a fight, gun shots, getting crashed the local gang, etc. They're few and far between, but a very interesting conversation piece especially those that aren't from V-Towne.

(Cuz Lynn, Big Al, some Hawaii chick. She was freely giving out her phone to a lot of people. I should post it up here.)

So this party was really fun. Kathy brought in her folks from USF and the good old SP-SVers and the random Bay Area thug. I told them I was 24 . They all so stupid - they believed me! There must have been a galloon of Petron Silver because that's all I remember after waking up from my hangover the next morning. Anyways, happy burphday cousin Kathy!

(Ah... so young... so innocent... so naive... if you only knew what I was thinking. Focus!)

Big Al's Breaking News: Soldier Steve is coming home

(Yes ladies...  the Man, the Myth, the Legend is coming home.  Solider Steve is back!)

The Big Al News Network (BANN) has just received word that Solider Steve is coming home from the badlands of the iRaq by May 19.  He'll be leaving the world of no alcohol, no Playboys and arranged marriages to the USA where booze, porn and hookers are everywhere.  While in the iRaq, Solider Steve successfully captured Saddam Hussein, banished the Taliban and established the first ever Centerfold's Stripclub in a Muslim nation (Jaguar is the featured dancer through June 2008).  The BigAlsHouse.com would like to thank Soldier Steve and the many brave men and women for keeping our gas prices high.

The Solider Steve festivities start off on May 24 with the 1st Annual Soldier Steve Golf Classic, pizzas and UFC at THE BigAlsHouse and then unlimited rub downs sponsored by The Oriental Sun Spa and Massage.

Have a safe voyage back home bro!

Big Al is not germaphobic enough

I think we're all OCD to some degree.  Maybe you check your oven a few times before you leave the house.  Maybe you check that you locked your front door a couple of times while you're on the way out.  Maybe you're super OCD and when you're taking #2, you have to wipe your a$$ 3 times with your right hand and 4 times with your left hand.  Huh?  Not me!

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) can be across the board.  Usually it's some crazy routine that you do that is not normal.  One thing that I do that I'm sure most of you all do is to make sure you do not touch anything in a public bathroom.  This usually means using your feet to flush the toilet and wait for somebody to open the door to exit or using a paper towel to open the door.  Only later do you realize that your efforts go undone after you shake hands with somebody who doesn't take the same steps to stay sanitary.

I was at the Shell gas station in Milpitas ("Milpitas bitch!") last night.  I came across a new facet of germaphobia.
(Big Al should become paparazzi.  I'm like ninja photo taker.)

Now that I think of it, I should be using a gasoline condom to top off my tank.  I later pulled up towards the front of this guy's car and I watched him meticulously examine every piece of his car with his cloth towel protection.  I like being clean, but this guy went a little over the edge.

Big ups to Cuz Aldrich for hooking me up to Indiana Jones screener tickets for next Tuesday at the Santa Clara AMC Mercado.  I have 1 ticket available.  Caller 69 wins it!

Big Al's Spontaneous Saturday Night

Saturday was almost the night that didn't happen. It's weird how life is series of events that are based off each other. I was wrapping up a long hard day of sleeping, playing at the park and watching TV, and I was expecting to go out with Jackay, but then she flaked. I was just about to call it a night then I decided to give my old college friend, Candy, a call. We were just going to go out for drinks and catch up, but we decided to do something else.
(Alicia Keys up close. Not bad for $50 seats.)

I felt like doing a Big Al's Spontaneous Saturday Night. I've previously done these spontaneous events for things like baseball or basketball games or trips to New Zealand. However, this spontaneous event revolved around the Alicia Keys concert. I hit up Craigslist throughout the afternoon and watched the price of the tickets rapidly drop as the 9pm concert neared. After making a few calls, I managed to get down pretty close to the stage for $50/ticket. Not bad eh? I probably could have gotten it a little cheaper, but I was happy at the price.
(The Big Al Nation is everywhere. A couple of old OG V-towne friends coincidentally sat next to Big Al during the concert. Candy, Big Al, Arniel & some other V-Towne chick)

(Candy, Big Al & Cougar Diane taking shots. BTW "Candy" is my 2nd favorite stripper name behind "Jaguar".)

I've never been an Alicia Keys fan, nor a fan of Jordin Sparks or Ne-Yo. Candy and I showed up pretty blitzed as Jordan Sparks was wrapping up her act. We listened to Ne-Yo for about 10 minutes then we decided to hit the bar. The people at the bar were pretty cool. I met this older chick, Diane, there. She seemed like a cougar. I wonder how it would have been had Candy not been there. I also met some twins there, but sadly my fantasy was not fulfilled.

(Sadly, the Big Al fantasy was not fulfilled... at least not yet. Holla!)

Candy and I stayed mostly through the whole concert. We decided to get ahead of the crowd and leave during the encore. Little did I know we would not beat them out. During my drunkenness I dropped my keys and phone and wallet at my seat. The phone was recovered by the person sitting in front of me, and I happened to come across my keys before we originally left. It wasn't until we were in the parking lot did I realize that my wallet was missing. Luckily the folks at the arena helped out and I managed to find my wallet under my seat. Disaster averted!

Big Al's Prison

(Big Al's Prisoner 00002 - Jackay is guilty of flaking on Big Al)

I'm going to start a new feature here - Big Al's Prison. Going to Big Al's Prison is similar to going to a real prison. If you do something bad in real life, then you go to prison. If you do something bad to Big Al, then you go to Big Al's Prison. All prisoners are considered guilty until proven innocent. Crimes can be petty such as being stupid gay like Q where the punishment will be 1 day of prison. Crimes can be large such as cheating Big Al out of something where you'll be Big Al's Prison for a life sentence (no known offenders to date).

The most recent prisoner is Jackay from V-towne. Jackay flaked on Big Al this weekend. She suggested that we go out to chase tail somewhere in the area this last Saturday. Unfortunately for Big Al, Jackay said she lost her ID. I just don't buy it. So you're in Big Al's Prison until May 30th. No communication with Big Al until then. See you at my party!

Big Al's funny sign

So I ran into a funny sign today, and I couldn't take the picture because somebody parked their car in front of it.  I'll try to take that picture in a couple days since it's close to my gym.  In the meantime, I dug through my archives and found a picture from Hong Kong that never got its BigAlsHouse.com exposure.  Happy Tuesday!

Big Al's secret Presidente Margarita recipe

So I was at Chili's last weekend and I was enjoying drinks with my friend Hazel. I got a little adventurous and went with something new and refreshing - the Chili's Presidente Margarita. So it's not really a secret recipe, but I'll pretend it is and call it my own. Here it is (all parts in ounces):

1 1/4 Commemerativo (Tila) Tequila
1/2 Cointreau orange liqueur
1/2 Presidente brandy
3 Sweat and sour
Splash of rose lime

Mix all parts with ice in a shaker. Shake it really good. Salt your glass and serve. Garnish with a lime.

There you have it! Big Al's not so secret no more Presidente Margarita recipe.
